Robust tube based on the old Mullard EL84. Its special plate and grid design allows for better heat dissipation and power handling. The overdrive sound of this tube is defined and musical. That is why it is common to see it in amplifiers such as the Vox AC30, AC15, Fender Blues Junior or Marshall 18W amplifiers. The EH EL84 can replace any 6BQ5 or 7189.
